On this kind of meetings we are always having a true life entrepreneur, telling about some fascinating stories, thus helping us to gain deep understanding of the topic.

Afterwards we organize a dialogue between these young people, for them to have the opportunity to ask, and absorb today’s topic in dept.

On the 5th of July we set up this meeting around the issue of Exponential Growth, Exponential Thinking. I think it is an amazing topic for youngsters to collect information on.

Here is a life example on exponential growth. πŸ™‚

We live in a Linear Thinking world, where the people are thinking only linearly, meaning when creating a business, they actually think that the business will expand as much as it did last year. But I have to tell you, this is not true!

This is how exponential growth looks like compared to linear.

With the internet this procedure, the time to get to know a world brand, has accelerated. Through the internet it become way faster to get to know information, we have the knowledge of the 1980’s NASA in the palm of our hands.

β€œThe future is widely misunderstood. Our forebears expected it to be pretty much like their present, which had been pretty much like their past.”

singularity

The past 150.000 years the way of living life hasn’t changed much. From father to son we learned how to hunt for animals, how to harvest to have food. During this time we have used the same tools, ate the same meals, lived in the same general place.

The past 250-300 years, from the time of the first industrial revolution have we understood to go out of the 100 km area that we lived in all those years. This was about the first times that common people could gain different knowledge of different places. This is the time, where we as people started to look out of our ownl little world, to the bigger picture.

Compared to the 150.000 years this 250 years led to amazing discoveries. Needless to say, what the common man can do with a smartphone in their hands. This connects people, you get almost any kind of information, that you want, from 3 *clicks*.

As I told you I am actually using my iPhone to learn Japanase off the bat!

If you want to learn more on topics like this! Let’s connect. Follow my Instagram, where I will put up the information on the next BrainUp!

Hope, you learned something new today! πŸ™‚
